PROVING ROOTS ABSORB WATER FROM THE SOIL.

In this experiment you will prove that roots absorb water from the soil.

Materials

2 pots
1scissors
2 plants [same type]

Instructions
Cut the root of one plant and plant it. Plant the second plant without cutting the roots. You can name the pot [A & B]

Water both the plant regularly and equally and treat the plants n the same way.

Observe: The plant which has roots is healthy, but the plant with no roots is weak.

Why is this so?
Roots help plants to absorb water from the soil.Water is required to make food by the plants. This is why the plant without the root looks weak.
