A shoebox
Plaster of Paris
Water
Paints [optional]
Instructions
Mix plaster of Paris with water
Before the mixture dries drop several round objects on it.
After the mixture dries take out the objects and here your craters are ready.
You can paint it with gray color to make it look a bit real.

On the moon several meteors crash and craters are formed here the balls are the meteors and plaster of Paris the moon. This model helps us to understand better about how Meteors are formed.
