A MOTOR BOAT WITHOUT A MOTOR!!!

Let's make a boat which uses energy to move!!

Materials:
Plastic bottle with screw on cap
tissue paper
1 drinking straw
Scissors
Clay
1/2 cup vinegar
3 tablespoon baking soda

Instructions
Make a hole at the bottom of the bottle. Enough to put an straw through.
After making the hole put the straw in and seal the area around the straw with clay.
Bend the straw downwards.
Now put 3 tablespoon baking soda on a piece of tissue paper and roll it. After rolling twist the ends.
Pour 1/2 cup vinegar into the bottle and quickly screw on the cap and set it on water.
The straw should be underwater. The BOAT MOVES!

What is happening??
The reaction caused by baking soda and vinegar creates a gas. This gas will try to escape. The gas will find only one opening- THE STRAW!
So it escapes through it causing the boat to move forward!
